Cement Servicing

Cement slurries are commonly used in well construction for the isolation of fluids within the wellbore. Typically, cement slurry is mixed and pumped down a steel tubular and is circulated up the annulus to the proper position.

Bulk dry cement is transported to the jobsite and stored until mixing begins. Water and dry bulk cement blends are then combined onsite to form a cement slurry. Once mixed, the slurry is pumped into the well. Cementing of well bores requires high pressure and high rate pumping equipment to properly place the slurry in deep and long lengths of tubing and casings. Once the cement slurry is properly placed, it is allowed to harden and thus isolates the annular area.

Superior's Cementing Capabilities

Capabilities
Superior maintains a fleet of cementing equipment readily available for dispatch to the jobsite. A variety of mixing and pumping equipment can be dispatched from any of Superior's Cement Service Centers. Blended cements are available from Superior's Service Centers or in some cases, may be blended at the jobsite.

Pressure Pumping
Superior is capable of mixing and pumping slurries, grouts, acids and etc. at up to 7,000 psi. This represents plenty of pressure and hydraulic horsepower for the most challenging cementing and grouting requirements.

Quality Control
Superior records pressures, rates, and slurry densities in all applicable situations. Wet and dry slurry samples are maintained for at least 30 days and routinely spot checked.

Key Benefits
- Dependable results on routine and critical cement jobs.
- Market targeted equipment and materials maintains the proper bottom line.
- Experienced crews and engineers get the job done right the first time.

Cement Products

Cement Blends and Additives
Cementing products are used in conjunction with cement pumping services to provide isolation of fluids and gases with well bores and subterranean formations. Cement materials and additives are designed to provide specific properties and benefits to the application. Cement blends are a combination of additives that have had proven success in certain applications. Cement additves are the components used to impact desired properties and benefits to the slurry.

Key Benefits
- Provide isolation of fluids (i.e. water, brine, oil & gas and corrosive solvents)
- Prevent migration of fluids in the wellbore
- Enhance physical strengths of tubular goods

For more detailed information, please visit Cement Blends and Cement Additives product pages.

Casing Attachments
Casing attachments are used in conjunction with cement materials and pumping services to aid in the correct placement of the cement slurry within the wellbore and containing tubular.

Key Benefits
- Provide consistent seal in annular wellbore areas
- Allow smaller drilling equipment to run larger tubulars
- Provide positive indication of cement slurry placement
- Allow for discreet slurry placement under difficult situations

For more detailed information, please visit Casing Attachments product page.
